Details:
- Long-term ER MD/DO contract opportunity, up to 1 year with possible extensions

- Emergency Room experience as an MD required
- 2–3 years of experience preferred
- Previous locum tenens and IHS facility experience preferred
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine required
- Must hold a valid U.S. medical license (any state)
- Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients required
Responsibilities include:
- Provide professional emergency medical services and direct patient care in the ER
- Evaluate adult and adolescent patients presenting to the emergency department
- Make preliminary diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and arrange for referrals or specialized care
- Deliver care to patients with a broad range of medical conditions, often critical or complex
- Stabilize and transfer major trauma patients (penetrating wounds, TBI, hemorrhage, blunt trauma, etc.)
- Manage pediatric trauma, psychiatric emergencies, and critical medical conditions such as septic or cardiopulmonary shock
- Perform advanced airway management, including endotracheal and rapid sequence intubation
- Collaborate with consultants and provide emergency care on a regular and ongoing basis

Requirements
Requirements:
- Active, Unrestricted Medical License — Must hold a current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Montana, any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
- Board Certification/Eligibility — Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM), or in Family Medicine.
- Active DEA Registration — Required to prescribe controlled substances.
Certifications — Must have current certifications in: - Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
- Citizenship — Must be a U.S. citizen living primarily within the United States.
- Experience — A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience is required.
- Credentialing — Must complete all credentialing requirements within 10 days of offer acceptance.
- Federal Security Clearance — Must be willing and able to complete and pass the federal security clearance process.
