Pharmacist Opportunity – Contract Role at Parker Indian Health Center (Parker, AZ)

Position Highlights:
- Long-term contract with potential for extension
- Outpatient pharmacy focus at Parker Indian Health Center
- 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
- Active pharmacy license in any U.S. state
- Minimum of 2 years’ pharmacy experience
- Outpatient pharmacy background preferred
- Prior IHS or federal facility experience is a plus
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify provider prescriptions for safe and effective therapy
- Dispense medications with patient-centered counseling and education
- Conduct follow-ups to assess medication effectiveness and adherence
- Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure compliance with handling/storage standards
- Provide clinical guidance on medication use, drug interactions, and therapy management
- Partner with medical staff to support continuity of care for patients

Requirements
- Be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
- Previous contract experience is a plus
- Previous IHS facility experience helpful
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Have a Pharmacist degree from a school of pharmacy approved by a state-accrediting agency
- Possess a current, active, unrestricted license from any of the 50 United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia.
- Maintain continuing education/certification
- Must be a US citizen, living primarily in the United States
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacist within the past 36 months
- References required
- Must meet all credentialing and background investigation requirements.
